open evening ME3

Our Open Evening & Campus Tour

Mile End Campus Year 7 – 12+

If you are considering our school as a potential middle, senior school for your child/ren, we’d like to invite you to come along to one of our open presentation events where we take the opportunity to not only show you around the practical facilities of the Campus but also begin the journey of sharing our heart and vision for the school community.

At Temple, we believe that the Christian education and learning environment we provide is unique and very special and it is our heart's passion to share this with you.

As an extension of the home and the Christian church, our passion here at Temple Christian College is to partner with parents and caregivers to provide a safe and encouraging Christian community that supports each student’s development. We believe in the importance of regular Church fellowship and, for this reason, our application process will require Church details as part of the Application Form.

If you would like to read more about the Aims & Philosophies of the school, we invite you to download the Application for Enrolment Form here.

Open Evening - All welcome - Thursday 23 March 2023

Mile End Campus open evening 2022 2

Open Evening at Temple Christian College is one of the most popular days in our event calendar and one that all the staff, teachers and students look forward to.

Community is a very important aspect of life at Temple and our passion for Open Evening is that every person who joins us, experiences a very real sense of family and belonging.

Scheduled during Week 8 of Term 1 (Thursday 23 March) our annual Open Evening program offers a wonderful celebration of the various aspects of school life. Incorporating displays and presentations that showcase the life at Temple Christian College, families and guests attending are invited to view static and active displays of subjects across the curriculum as well as on stage music and drama performances throughout the evening.

Open to all existing and prospective new students, families and friends, this evening provides the perfect opportunity to experience a snapshot of daily life here at Temple Christian College, Mile End Campus including:

    • Student Guided Campus Tours
    • Indoor Rock Climbiing
    • Food & Treats
    • Demonstrations
    • Live Music & Performances
    • Interactive Fun Trail

Commencing from 3.30pm, Open Evening enables families with younger children to drop in after school and enjoy the food and treats on offer by the Food & Hospitality team along with the Parents & Friends committee.

You are welcome to attend at any time.

A booking is only required if you wish to attend a campus tour during Open Evening.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Campus Tours

Each term, we schedule a number of opportunities to showcase the school through a Campus Tour directed by the school's Principal - Mr. Marcel Rijken and Campus Principal - Mr Magan Schaefer.

These sessions are specifically held at different commencement times during each term (morning, afternoon and evenings) to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to attend.

During Term 1, we have the opportunity to showcase the life of the school during our Annual Open Evening. We encourage everyone who is considering an enrolment at Temple Christian College to take advantage of this event by:
• booking a scheduled Campus Tour with the Principal during the evening as per the times below, or
• participating in a student led tour with one of our Prefects or Senior Leaders (available throughout the evening).

What it means to be a ‘closed enrolment’ school

As an extension of the home and the Christian church, our passion here at Temple Christian College is to partner with parents and caregivers to provide a safe and encouraging Christian community that supports each student’s development. We believe in the importance of regular Church fellowship and for this reason, it is included in our Campus tour registration process. During the tour, our Principals will talk through the why behind these beliefs and what it means to be a ‘closed enrolment’ school.
