Advance Notice - NEW 40km/h School Precinct Speed Limits

The Department for Infrastructure and Transport is installing 40 km/h school speed limit signage on ROADS in front of schools across the state.  The new 40 km/h time-based speed limit will be implemented by the end of 2025, on James Congdon Drive (front of the Administration Entrance to Temple Christian College Mile End Campus) in preparation for the 2026 school year.

New speed limits will apply on school days when children are travelling to and from school during these times:

• 8:00 am to 9:30 am
• 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

This excludes weekends, public holidays and school holidays.

School days are defined by the Department for Education.

Speed limits will be enforced from the date of completion at each site.

Absentee & Late Notice Notification

The preferred method of absentee notification is via an SMS text through the school virtual mobile number. Reporting in this manner creates an automatic permanent report. When sending a text please record the following details:

• students full name
• reason for absence
• parents full name
